Candida is a single-celled fungus that is present in the intestinal tract as well as the genital tract. It feeds off of aged cheeses, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruits, fermented foods, all grains containing Gluten(wheat, rye, oats and barley) ham, honey, nut butters, pickles, potatoes, raw mushrooms, soy sauce, sprouts and vinegar.
You should eat vegetables fish and gluten-free grains such as brown rice and Millet. You should also start taking acidophilus on a daily basis to regulate the imbalance of bacteria in your gut. If you or your partner drinks beer (it contains yeast) you need to stop, this is so detrimental in trying to take care of this very rapidly bacteria.
If this is a chronic problem, you might want to be tested for diabetes or other immune system dysfunction. "The Yeast Connection" is a very good book. It has a candida test you can take to see how likely you have an over growth of candida. Good luck

Im being treated for yeast overgrowth right now and have been for the last 9 months...its tough, but Im getting better slowly.
Things NOT to eat...
No sugar products..this means ANYTHING with sugar
No breads, or white flour products
No pop, not even diet
No cheeses, cept cream cheese
No fruit
No juice
No Peanuts
No mushrooms
No white rice
No alcohol
Theres more stuff Im sure, just cant remember all, Id have to get up and get my book. My doc wrote two books on the subject.
There are lots of things we can have tho. Eat all the meat and veges you want. You can have all veges you want, all of them, even the starchy ones.
Youre gonna need meds for this, diet alone wont fix the problem.
I was literally dying, this doc saved me, when no other doc would listen.
I wish you the best of luck, and hope you get to feeling better. Get ready, cuz youre gonna lose weight.

Candida mainly feeds off of yeast. Do you want to get candida or something, or are you trying to avoid it? Cause it sounds like you want to get it and believe me...No you dont! Candida causes yeast infections and all that nasty stuff! Be careful!
