I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them?

Are god's laws unchanging? When my kid sister divorced, Dad said it'd be a sin for her to remarry. Since Dad was not a great scholar, I got a Bible concordance and found two verses about that subject. Moses said it's fine to divorce and remarry. Later, Jesus said it's a sin. If God's laws are eternal, why did this one change so radically in 1200-1400 years? As you see, I need not seek contradictions in the Bible. If I look at it, I am bound to find some, for it has so many. It also has scientific inaccuracies galore. I sent three letters on "Bible Inaccuracy" to a local editor. I may do a book on it when I finish the one I'm writing now.

G-d forbids, and does not recognize sacrifices performed outside of the Temple. In case you were wondering, the Temple Mount (the only place where the Temple can be built) is currently housing the Dome of the Rock, one of the holiest mosques of Islam. Exodus 21 is clearly referring to laws for another nation. "These are the rules that you shall set before them" is the first verse. If it was referring to the Israelites, it would have said something along the lines of "These are the rules I have set before you". As for your problem with Leviticus 15:19-24, it's referring to having intercourse with your wife during her menstrual period. Any decent person wouldn't have premarital sex, or ask a random woman if she's menstrating. Yes, the Israelites were allowed to have slaves. Yet, there are also verses stating that one's slaves should be treated decently, and not inhumanely. No, you're not allowed, or obligated to kill a man who works on the Sabbath. By definition these are the 39 things you may not do on the Sabbath:

Sowing
Plowing
Reaping
Binding sheaves
Threshing
Winnowing
Selecting
Grinding
Sifting
Kneading
Baking
Shearing wool
Washing wool
Beating wool
Dyeing wool
Spinning
Weaving
Making two loops
Weaving two threads
Separating two threads
Tying
Untying
Sewing stitches
Tearing
Trapping
Slaughtering
Flaying
Tanning
Scraping hide
Marking hides
Cutting hide to shape
Writing two or more letters
Erasing two or more letters
Building
Demolishing
Extinguishing a fire
Kindling a fire
Putting the finishing touch on an object
Transporting an object between a private domain and the public domain, or for a distance of 4 cubits within the public domain.

So if you're able to work without doing one of those things, go for it. Also, Saturday, not Sunday, is the true Sabbath.

there is no animal sacrifice anymore, because their is no temple. and when their was animal sacrifice, there was no burning bulls on the altar. animal sacrifices were killed in a normal and kosher way and eaten just like regular food. the reason it was called a "sacrifice" is because giving away your food to G-d is a sacrifice - and a big one. the point was not that blood was to be shed, otherwise the bible would not have also said that flour could be used as a sacrifice. the point was giving up something dear to you in repentance, and nothing is more dear to a person than the food which keeps him alive.

slavery is not commanded in the bible. the bible knows that it was practiced, and that it could not be abolished without causing economic upheaval for that time period, and therefore attempts to regulate it. i am sure G-d is extremely happy that slavery has finally been abolished. he clearly dislikes slavery considering he gives them so many opportunities to be freed... ie, automatically after 7 years. and if a slave runs from his master and comes to you, the bible commands you not to return him, that you are to let him live among you as a freeman.

the bible assumes the menstruating women you are having sex with is your wife. obviously, there are no secrets between you.

and no, you are not morally obligated to put to death a person who breaks the shabbat. for reasons behind this, go here: http://ca.blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-14RDX4k7frF.iGIE6EespWXPvyg-?cq=1&p=8

If you try to follow the law and offend just one you are guilty of all...and it is why Jesus when He came He was the end of the law ...which is the fulfilling of it.

God said in the beginning the day that you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt surely die.

Everybody knows the story...they did and we all did...die...death passed upon all men.

Now when Christ came he came to do many things including live a sinless life ..to be a perfect example for us..and in doing it became a worthy sin sacrifice to give his life for the sins of the world...

In a short He was satisfying the law by paying for the price of it...Now there is no longer a need to satisfy the law ..but to take on the payment you must receive Christ.

Nothing more needs to be explained about the law because the law was never meant for men to be able to follow and be saved..the law was given so that men might know sin existed and was/is exceeding sinful...God bless

Haven't I seen this question about 3 weeks ago? Are your questions unchanging?

You leave out rebelious children can be stoned, and don't have sex with animals.

Keep in mind everytime I make a pleasing oder of a bull, I call it grilling steak, my neighbors come over because they like it too.

Now for my real answer
since you can't keep the 700 + laws straight - try to stick with the two Jesus said " Love god with all you got and Love others as yourself If you do this, all the other laws fall into place."

When you MASTER (not that I have) talk about all the others

first of all , Defect in your sight is referring to exactly what you are. So you should not go before the lord because he will not hear your prayers. And the rest was all written in the old days before they had sanitary conditions. again your a moron, and then Christ came along and said that all the rules are the same he came to uphold them not abolish them . you just need to read the whole book , not just parts, like so many other people do. who ever said here read part of this book. you'll really like the story , but only read what you want , don't read the whole thing. That's stupid . after you've read the whole thing in its entirety at least twice, then maybe you can ask an intelligent question about it.

I guess all of your questions on Leviticus Law can be answered in this: Jesus Christ died for all your sins s that you could enter into a right relationship with Him and enter Heaven when your physical body dies. It is a free gift, but you first must repent of all your sins and trust Jesus to save you on the day of God's wrath. Otherwise you will face the Judgment of God and will be cast into hellfire where there is great weeping and gnashing of teeth. Also you wouldn't have to worry about fulfilling Leviticus Law anymore because Jesus will wash your sins clean. It is questions like this that expose the haughtiness and ignorance of mankind and the reason for the Judgment of God. Please, put away your pride and ignorance and get saved. God is not a joke, nor is He laughing.

"We seem to forget that we are not under the law but under grace, but it does not make his law void. Jesus came to fulfill what we could not do." There is therefore now no condemnation to them that which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Romans 8:1 The law is there now to let us know when we mess up. "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in the sight of God, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Romans 3:20 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."Romans 3:23

That's the Old Testament; we really don't have to keep the old laws anymore. However, we all must abide by the Ten Commandments.
