He opened the front door and then climbed back out the porch window. Strange. What could he have been thinking? I still can't figure that one out.

Sure he was locked out by his own means and not by the actual owner of the house? A normal person would climb through the window, and unlock the door if it was indeed his own home.

I have no idea either. Maybe he was checking to see how easy it was for someone to get into his house that way? That is strange.
