relationships are always great in the beginning but as time goes on things seem to calm down some.relationships are as old as the two that are involved make it.if you have heard stories of him being abusive to others stay sharp and keep your eyes open for abnormal behavior.you don't want to get caught up in that.if it starts get out early before it gets out of hand .don't take too much for granted.you could get hurt.if he does become abusive towards you don't just let it go because you love him.if he dose it once he will do it again.i don't mean to scare you just be careful. good luck. DON'T TAKE ANY CHANCES Pete

i would steer clear. Very few people have an abusive preceding reputation. I am willing to bet, you get a glimpse of it, when you call it off. I would tell him no for now, and see how he handles that. Not just when you first say no, but let it sink in he is not getting what he wants, and see what happens.

Maybe he has some anger issues that he isn't dealing with but with his love for you, he doesn't want you to see his "ugly" side. I know my husband did that when we first met. He had alot of issues he was dealing with, but he loved me so much, he was embarrased to tell me. He dealt with his stuff, and let me know after. Could this be going on with your man?

No no no, get out. If he's abusive toward others he will eventually be abusive toward you as well. Don't give him the chance.
