im looking for good affortable speakers for a 99 eclipse gsx. what i really want to do is replace the right speaker on my right door because it seems to be blown or something because when u can hear the bass, theres a loud vibrating noise from that speaker. also if i get new speakers n subs, would i have to modify the places to fit the speakers n subs in? is a new stereo system important? or could i just stay with the stock one

There is no "best", only preference (as you can see by the other answers). What I like may not be what you like. Go to a pro audio shop and grab a listen. Some of the better shops will demo a system in your car so you know exactly what your getting. Your ears are your best critic.

Be aware, what you hear in the store may not be what you hear in your car.

Look up comsumer electronics on Ebay. They have cheap good car audio. I think you should definitly upgrade your sound system. Get the same size speakers in the doors and u will be able to find a box for your subs online. Be sure to get a hatchback box. Good Luck

memphis speakers, subs, and amps are best on the market. they are reasonably priced, have won several car awards over the past 3 years, and come with a lifetime, no questions asked replacement warranty

eclipse speakers are my favorite and alpine class d amps. you should navigate to the crutchfield website. There are many car audio products there. They also send installation instructions with their products.
