I mean, I do eat, and when I eat it's healthy. I loove eating healthy. But a majority of the time I find myself not wanting to eat, or doing it just because I know I need it. Can emotions affect that? Like going through a rough time? And are there medical conditions that can cause that?

Emotions can definitely affect eating habits. As well, I am sure, there are medical conditions that list 'lack of appetite' as a symptom.

A possible way to see if it is a psychological issue is to journal your eating for at least two to three weeks. Write down time of day you eat, what you eat, how hungry you were to eat, how you felt before you ate, how you felt after you ate. Two to three weeks of journaling can help you spot an emotional pattern to your lack of appetite, if there is one--like, are you always feeling stressed when you don't want to eat? Do you feel out of control in other areas of your life, and -not- eating is one thing you CAN control?

Hope this advice helps -- and good for you for being aware. Being aware of our physical well-being is so important!

P.S. You're most likely just a normal, healthy gal who doesn't look to food for pleasure! :)

It coiuld be stress, or a medical problem. But it also could be an eating disorder, you really should talk to a professional, you could really be unknowingly hurting yourself.

anorexia can cause that.. many people who are anorexic don't want to admit it and say things like "eating is a hassle"..
