No, courts are open to the public. Just go and show up. Unless it is a really important case, you will just be able to walk in. Dress nicely and don't take any weapons or contraband. They will have metal detectors.

Well, I am not a lawyer, but I work at a law firm. You do not have to sign any papers to go and watch a trial. You should have no problem watching as long as it is an open court. Which it should be unless there are minors envolved. You will have to go through security checks though, like at the airport. Don't wear any metal! Good luck, you know if your cousin is guilty of cold blooded murder he deserves what he's got coming don't you?

Try calling the court house and tell them what your cousin is going to court for and see if it is open or not...meaning if you are allowed or not. And out of respect for your cousin, where something nice to court. Good luck

If its an open trial, then all you have to do is go in. Of course you will have to go through court security, but if you want to witness the trial, then its worth it. If its not open to the public then ask the prosecuting attorney if you can sit in since you are his cousin.

If you are not going to be a witness then you may attend the trial. Dress neatly, sit quietly and don't make any fuss. Judges are not happy when people disrupt the courtroom.
If you tick him/her off, you might be spending some $$ or time behind bars for contempt.

Courts are open to the public. You don't have to sing anything to take part of an official proceeding.
