get a messeanger. add them 2 ur contacts. n then IM

get there email address then add them to your yahoo messenger then when you see a little happy face on the side of the name click and then a thing should come up for you to chat

you have to download Yahoo! Messenger first. Then, you can search for people and IM them. You can only IM yahoo! users.
Messenger is downloadable from the Yahoo! homepage.
