Go to court, they should have a record of the citation issued.
Most municipalities mandates Police Officers to appear in court however you can always plea deferred adjudication

If you haven't taken "Defensive Driving" for an offense recently, ask the judge if you can take it. On completion the ticket is dismissed and not on your record or insurance.

You don't need the ticket.

Show up at the right courthouse EARLY. With a little luck, the police officer won't show, and it will be dismissed. Best wishes.
