Or, to put it the other way, if we protect the born who are undergoing child abuse, then should not we all the more protect the unborn, who are even more defenseless? Abortion is child abuse of the worst kind.

Careful, those who lack reason will lash out at you!

I agree with you. I am most impressed by hypnotic regression sessions to explore past lives - when people talk about their memories from the womb before birth. Hm...

According to the Declaration of Independence, the purpose of Government is to defend Life first and foremost. How sad that so many have forgotten.

You are entirely missing the point. An unborn fetus is not a child, it is a part of the woman's body. It is NOT its own independent individual entity. It is the woman's body & HER decision what to do until 12 wks gestation.

Most abortions are performed legally & safely by qualified doctors in a medical setting. At a few weeks along, the pregnancy is still microscopic & consists of cells at that point. To equate that with a human being would be like saying an acorn is an oak tree. Sure the potential is there for that to happen if the conditions are right. Approximately one third of all pregnancies result in spontaneous abortion anyways.

Consider that not all pregnancies happen when the time is right for the woman. Since she is the one this will effect for the rest of her life, ultimately, it must be her decision whether or not she is ready for parenthood at that time and whether or not she wants to continue a pregnancy. Simply put, it is not your decision to make for her.

My advice to people who are opposed to abortion would be to not get one themselves. An interesting sidenote here - Did you ever notice that the people who tend to be antichoice in the abortion debate tend to be the same people who are also against sex education in the schools, birth control for teens, funding for Planned Parenthoods, & benefits for single poor women with children?

Doug your questions have now gone beyond a joke. I have reported you to Yahoo. I hope it will not be long until they suspend you.

I have tried to be reasonable and answered several of your questions as have others despite the fact that they have ceased to be an enquiry more just trying to push your opinions on to others.

Everybody has a choice in this world and whilst we respect your opinion you have no respect for other peoples. I hope you find peace in yourself one day and do not feel the need to come on here daily to upset and bait people.

PS This is still not the abortion category but the immigration one. try logging this under health or medical it may make more sense plus you may be responded to by someone in the medical profession.

And let's look at things differently.

I don't like the color red, and wish to get it taken out of the color wheel, and wish to make sure that no one is allowed to wear it or use it for anything. I think that the color red is representative of the communist party, and therefore, since it is against my beliefs as a human, then it should be banned from being seen, used, worn, or being a color. And I have a bunch of people that agree with me, and some that are even willing to kill if they see people wearing it.

Where does my right to my belief end? What gives me the right to force others to remove red from their wardrobe, and their lives. It will upset the entire economic stucture of things (in the "red"; using red to indicate negative numbers or subtracted moneys), our retail establishments (I am thinking Target might become up in arms about my views, and it would cost them millions), our artistic community (how many paintings out there not only use the color red, but use the color red to make another color - orange, pink, purple, magenta, etc.), and the patriots of the country (I am thinking the whole color thing with the flag).

I understand and appreciate your voicing your opposition to abortion. And it is an easy thing - don't have one, don't let your girlfriend/wife have one, don't give money to anything that gives to it, and educate everyone on why not to have one. But sitting there and forcing others to follow your beliefs is not the right thing to do. And making it illegal certainly isn't the thing to do either.

Like I've said. Making it illegal takes the government regulation out of it. Making it illegal will not stop it (drugs anyone???), it will only allow anyone to perform it, and it will be unsafe. I would rather someone go get one in the safety of a sterile room with a medically trained professional than going to some back alley room while the guy with the dirty nails grabs his rusty coat hanger and says "Don't worry. You won't feel a thing."

I have never - nor will I ever - have an abortion. But that is my personal choice. It is not my choice to make for others on this earth. Each person knows what is best for their situation.

And let's add something to your analysis - what about all the women that get pregnant, decide to keep the baby, and the father up and takes off? Now our tax dollars are going to support a mother and child she couldn't afford to have, and there is a fatherless child that will suffer emotionally due to the abandonment. . .

Yeah, making it illegal is a wonderful alternative. Let's educate kids on sex, consequensis, and how to aid in preventing or actual prevention of pregnancy. That is the way to stop abortion.

Let's face it. Abortion isn't done for health reasons at least 90% of the time. It's because the female doesn't want a child, it will screw up her life.

I could say the same about my neighbor, brother, boss or the guy who cut me off in traffic. I'd be better off without them. However, I realize that to kill them is a big no-no. So, I let them live.

Women should do the same with their children, no matter what stage of development they have reached.

The unborn are MURDERED for convenience, not to protect them....

Abortion is an abomination, those who support it and practice it... do not want children to have a life... and, YES, ABORTION IS CHILD ABUSE.... it is the ultimate rape of a child's rights...

At the moment of conception, a life has begun.... I wonder if those who favor abortion as the proper way to raise their standard of living ever stop to think: "I choose life, my parents did".... no, they are too damn selfish.... they want it all for themselves... and they will murder to get it...

So a woman is raped by a diseased piece of trash and she is eighteen years old making minimum wage. She should keep her baby right? Then she dies giving child birth. Should should keep her baby right? And then the poor family has five childlen and can barely afford to keep them fit and she should have the baby and give it up for adoption? give up her own flesh and blood?
You pro life people are sick. You assume that everyone can just have a baby and can afford to take care of it, or if they have a baby thery should just give it up or just risk their lives giving birth. If abortion suddenly became illegal, how many back alley coat hanger operations would spring up killing thousands?
Well, everyone has their own opinion and the law is clear. Abortion is legal and it needs to stay that way!

All I have to say is I would have been Pro Abortion only once, if it had been you being aborted.

BTW what does Immigration have to do with abortion? You seem to come here daily and make like 5 anti abortion posts per day. Do you not like you own section or do they like ignore you?

A fetus is not recognized as a person, abortion is not murder, and it is people like you who used to hate see me show up to investigate a case of child abuse! You believe you can do anything you want to a child, like they were some kind of chattel!!

Good point! I always wondered why they prosecute jerks that hit a pregnant mother in the stomach but still say its a fetus and not a human child.
