Does anyone know if Idina Menzel from Rent and Wicked knows American Sign Language?

Or anyone else from the Rent cast for that matter

I've never heard any connection between ASL and Idinda Menzel or any of the cast of Rent or even Jonathan Larson.

I'm curious - what prompted the question?
