I never grew up with a sister or any girls of any kind. I was just wanted to know what a good gift would be. My brother and sister-in law said videos. I don't like that because I want her to use her mind and not be numbed by TV.

I have a 2 1/2 year old niece that i adore. I spend a lot of time with her and I think she is a genius. Videos are not bad, she will not turn into a veg if she watches them. The blues clues ones are super cute and she actually learns from them.

If you are opposed to them, try this web site for award winning toys. I put 2 years old into the search engine. My niece does not have any of the toys listed. What she does love are; wooden puzzles, abc magnets and anything she can sort, (a big 2 yr old activity).

you're not to any extent further contained in the incorrect in any respect. sure, she did come on your sons birthday party, and that changed into sweet of her, yet gasoline expenditures upward push each day, so i will only anticipate that her go back and forth expenses were no longer almost as intense as yours will be. previous that, a celebration at a water park expenses more beneficial than only admission. then you definitely ought to pay for nutrients (till she's were given a celebration kit reserved), and also you would ought to pay extra for a coated spot. i understand the water park I used to paintings at rented umbrellas through the hour contained in the height of summer season. There are also locker costs to shop each and each of the pieces you do not favor to get moist, alongside with the prospect of a run through the arcade or race autos. all of it elements up faster than you anticipate. Then there is the birthday present! it really is only a lot money, and if the gasoline value on my own is making you question the vacation, then you actually oughtn't flow. you could mail the present with a colourful card or perhaps make a telephone call later contained in the week to confer with the birthday lady. Your sister in regulation will be dissatisfied, and it really is likely extra because she changed into hoping to have yet another grown as a lot as confer with, yet she will be able to comprehend, and she or he will be able to get over you and your household’s absence. only be particular to examine yet yet again to celebration, like the 4th of July, or some type of relaxing day contained in the summer season that would not fee as a lot money to participate in. thankfully, the birthday lady is only turning 2, so she received’t shop in ideas your no longer being there, and she or he received’t till her fifth or sixth birthday comes round. only be particular to call her and choose her a cheerful birthday, no matter if she doesn’t shop in ideas the decision, she will be able to love a particular telephone call from her auntie. sturdy success!

Books! By all means books. Find Snow Ponies. It's a wonderful story. Buy her Dr.Suess books. There are classics she should have read to her and that she can read when she gets older. Books are the greatest gift you can give. Inscribe something sweet inside the book so that it will always be there to remind her how much you cared.

My daughter is two.

She loves play dough, dolls and bears, sticker books, finger paint and water colors, and lots and lots of books!

Dora the Explorer is generally huge with two year old girls. If you don't want to give videos (and I agree!) you can still get toys and books with a character theme.

A quality doll if she doesn't already have a good one. Bitty Baby from American Girl is like $100. My daughter got hers on her first birthday and has taken her everywhere for over 5 years.

In order to encourage reading pay for a magazine subscription or Dr. Seuss book club. Or they have computer programs for this age group. Start buying her books. Or get her a library card and YOU Uncle take her to the library once or twice a month. also check out this link:

Lego has many different sets - if your niece watches TV she will be familiar with Dora. Do get her a Dora Lego set - that way you will give her something to stimulate her 'creative' side and something that she can relate to.

Another idea is to give her either a Magnadoodle or Aqua doodle -

an ideal goft for a 2 year old!

Get books, fabulous books. Picture books like "Tuesday" or "The Mitten." Fabulous, unusual alphabet books.

Or, get videos like "Little Bear" which is great for the imagination, or "The Busy World of Richard Scarry" which is great for learning and fun or "Blues Clues" - with Steve, also great for learning and fun.
