“There are not a hundred people in America who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions of people who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church— which is, of course, quite a different thing.”
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, foreward to Radio Replies Vol. 1, page ix

Anyone who doesn't know the truth about the Catholic church is answerable to God, because the Catholic church has clearly and completely documented every aspect of the faith, beginning from the times of Christ and the apostles, all the way up through the present day.
There is not a church on this planet hat has done a better job of clearly defining the who's, what's, when's, where's, and why's.
We even have a complete catechism, with footnotes and biblical references, that actually scares Whynotaskdon, a fellow who has no problem with personally disrespecting the Pope.
Catholic scholarship is God's gift to the world, yet people continue to believe only what they're told by the same folks who take their money and run, and later make tearful apologies on television for their various misdeeds and scandals.
Anyone who studies the authentic documents of the authentic Catholic Church will have no problem recognizing God's truth in them. All of them.

As a former catholic, I feel qualified to at least offer an opinion on quesions to catholics. It's not just spouting random crap, it's the very same crap that was fed to me in 12 years of catholic school. Don't like it? Take it up with the diocese.

What I find disturbing is that many (like Donald F. Dutkowski) try to refute Catholic teaching by using the Catechism of the Catholic Church. . .but they leave out information, take things out of context and flat out lie. I have nothing against Non-Catholics, I just do not like people making disparaging comments when they do not READ what we teach.
169 Salvation comes from God alone; but because we receive the life of faith through the Church, she is our mother: "We believe the Church as the mother of our new birth, and not in the Church as if she were the author of our salvation." Because she is our mother, she is also our teacher in the faith.
620 Our salvation flows from God's initiative of love for us, because "he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins" (1 Jn 4:10). "God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself" (2 Cor 5:19).
****Oh my Goodness, the Catholics using the BIBLE??? YES, WE DO!
183 Faith is necessary for salvation. The Lord himself affirms: "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned" (Mk 16:16).

The same reason that whenever a question is asked about what an athiest or a pagan or a wiccan or a satanist believes, dozens of Christians immediately start running their mouths off.

You may be right. You are not alone though. I have encountered this type of rhetoric about all religions on this site. A lot of speaking without knowledge; would that be "bearing false witness?" Help me out here Christians.

It would be nice if for once a question were really a question and not an answer disguised as a rant.
