Fraternal twins only count if they are on YOUR side of the family. Your husbands genes have no affect on your ovaries releasing two eggs. Identical twins are completely random. Fraternal twins happen more the older you are.

Identical twins are a fluke! Fraternal twins are something genetic where women in a certain bloodline produce more than one egg each month! so if the family twins are identical then the odds are the same as every other pregnant lady in the world but if the family twins are fraternal, then the chances improve greatly!

Of course. Any pregnancy can be a multipul, regardless of the amount of twins in the family.
If it runs in your families it does make it more likely, although not set in stone.
You could be one more than plural. ;)
