First off you can't , he signed up .
He's approaching whats known as the " HUMP " , once he gets past that , he'll be fine .
Every Marine goes thru it, thinks he can't take anymore and then discovers he can.

stop making him feel bad, and encourage him to finish the training that is all, the "hump" is right, you hit this wall, usually in the beginning and all they is encouragement, once he realizes that everything is going to be alright and just let the process take its course and accept it, life becomes a LOT better, stop fighting/resisting change and focus on the task at hand. nothing against you but i would say 80% of the time gfs are the ones scewing up a guy's mindset when he is away on military training/deployment.

I feel sorry for him, I really do. But he wanted to be a man and thought he had what it takes to be a Marine, and he does. He will realise it at some point. Everyone has the moment when they want out. But when he graduates you will see a completely different attitude.

If not, tell him to man up and stick with his decision. That's life.

You should be less concerned with getting him out and be more concerned with trying to give him more confidence. Coming from somone who has done it there are those days when you dont want to do it anymore but believe me it gets so much better just tell him to suck it up and it will all be over soon and he will be more proud that he did it than if he was to give up.

He's a smacktard! He shouldn't have joined America's beloved Corps if he wants out.

I say, jack off on his Drill Sergeants desk...and how the Hell did he contact you?

If he is still a recruit all he has to do is flunk out. He'll pay dear hell for it but they will have to let him go because he is not trainable.
