You are probably spending so long in very low light levels (relative to outside). Get yourself in front of a window for half an hour prior to exiting the building.
If its a disorder, likely it is in your nervous system. Medications that are anticholinergic or other conditions which cause the same effects as anticholinergics slow the contraction of your pupil, allowing too much light into your eye.
This happened to me when I was taking an anticholinergic and staying indoors for prolonged periods.

Oh my, yes. I have eyes which are sensitive to light and sometimes my eyes have teared so that I couldn't see a thing. This has been especially the case when I walk out onto cement which is very "white" or on a sunny day after it has snowed.
Actually, I was helped greatly when I had to wear glasses and was able to get non-glare lenses. A friend of my has the kind of glasses that change when bright light hits them. If you wear glasses, they might be helpful to you. As for me, I almost always wear my prescription sunglasses on a sunny or partly sunny day.

Our pupils have adjusted to the interior lights, making them larger (to let in more light in the darkened interior) but once you go outside, your pupils don't adjust as quickly as we'd like them to and for quite some time it can be actually painful in full sun - especially around reflective things like cars, buildings, parking lots, concrete, water....because there is so much light being let in.
Consider it the same as getting acclimated to a cold region when you grew up in a warm region. Even our eyes can be shocked by changes.

It may be normal. Get some quality Polarized Sunglasses with UV protection. If you still have problems after that get your eyes tested. For what it's worth, you shoul have your eyes tested every two years even if you don't see the problem.

You need to wear sunglasses. An eye doc told me once that everyone should be wearing sunglasses....whether you wear glasses or not. You need sunglasses everytime you go outside...thatll help alot. Youre sensitive to light, some ppl are.

it would nicely be as a results of allergies. yet Miko would have it nailed. I "wade through" from ACHOO syndrome, myself. it could be led to through the sunlight, or perhaps only searching at a bright mild. fortunately, i don't have it "undesirable," as commonly it really is only a sneeze and that i'm done. I comprehend some human beings can flow on, and on, and .....you get the picture.
