♡ M. Shadows ♡: I don't think that Mendi is 'pro-illegal' immigration, but if that's what you want to think, feel free to.

I think as a nation we should start thinking of our OWN LEGAL citizens first. We have a history of sending money out of our country when we really NEED it here. I mean look at our schools. We really could use some of the billions of dollars that we spend educating illegal immigrant's kids on our own children. Don't get me started about health care. There are millions of Americans (myself included) that does not have health care but illegal immigrants that do not pay taxes can get free health care. We have a generation of older people that really could use help paying for the high cost meds they have to be one. These people deserve their country to stand up for them before it worries about others.
I am not saying that we shouldn't give aid but there really has to be a line where we say that is enough... our own people need help too. I think we crossed that line a long long time ago :(

What Suffering
Stop The Lies And Propaganda
No-one Is Starving
Go Home And Protest
And Make Demands From YOUR Government
Its NOT CRUEL To Deport Someone
To A Condition That Was Pre-existing (Their HOME)
It WOULD Be Cruel To Deport Them All To SIBERIA
But We're Not Doing That
We're Just Sending Them HOME
To Their Families
Think Of It As Family Re-Unification
I think you know what I am getting at

You know mendi I have tried to think of one reason why someone could be so callus and closed minded since discovering this forum. If they would try to get to know these people hear their stories see the areas they come from know that the people are really suffering and are held back from ever being able to even live pay check to paycheck where they are from. Would they feel the same way? But I'm afraid they would still be this way even then. Or at least most would never try to listen or hear the truth.

You know what, I support the efforts of the Peace corps and Red Cross that are international and provide, health, education and food to the impoverished. So, yeah.. I do support organizations that help the less fortunate.
If you are saying the illegal aliens in America, you can forget about that. They are not starving and have great employment opportunities.

It would depend on the type of help you are referring to. Not all people agree on how to help people and what are the best options. Feeling sorry for people doesn't help them. Teaching them how to be self-sufficient is the kindest thing anyone can do for someone. "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day.. teach a man to be a fisherman and he'll never go hungry..."

If the suffering person would be taking something away from the givers - land, jobs, food, then the giver may have reason to withhold their caring. People should not be forced to help others it is ones own choice.

You mean like our own children trapped in substandard schools with virtually all 'discretionary' funds going to ESL learners, including those who are illegally here, while our children are becoming uncompetitive in an increasingly global world?
Or is it that you know our children are suffering but you just are not in support of helping them?

Because this country needs to support itself, and while it is sadly true that others are suffering, we cannot take on the whole worlds problems. How do you feel about The US taking on Iraqs problems Mendi? I think you know what I'm getting at.....
