Allah is the name, the same as God. As far as violence, hate, and death are concerned, those acting under the banner of Christ have instigated more of each than any Muslims have ever managed to do. One might say they are trying to catch up, "even the score" so to say. But this whole line of thought has long since proven to be wrong-headed. We need to be working to eliminate this "my dad is bigger than your dad" approach to spirituality and politics. Keeping score is based on fear, fear is violent and always produces what you are trying to avoid, and what has all this to do with being a religious person.

This is a double mistake sentence to evaluate. First, Muslims ARE NOT murderous. It is true that those known terrorists are muslims, but.. of course you cannot reverse the premise into "muslims are murderous". It will be like saying that that "since monkey eats peanut, then those who eat peanut must be monkeys" :)

Second, Allah is not hateful. If you learn Islam, you'll see that everything in this religion is peaceful, although strict.

It is allowed in Islam to ask the scientific question of: why Allah ask us to do that? And Islam allows the muslims to seek answer to that question.

The problem is: not everyone is scientific. And when you ask a non-scientific to think scientifically, it is only natural that they miss the context altogether, resulting in misinterpretation.

And FYI, the Western journalists themselves are not always logical and full of knowledge. I've read a copy of Reader's Digest a few month ago, featuring Dutch ambassador who fight the female mutilation in a muslim country in Africa. And the journalist took the liberty to describe the "African culture" into the "Islam culture" ;-). If that journalist ever learn Islam, and goes to Asia to compare the two different Islamic country, then she'll be able to distinguish what element is Islamic and what element is regional-based culture better.

And she will not spread the misinterpretation towards Islam wider.

Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ...

They reject Christ's divinity;
they reject his claim to be the Son of God;

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ .
