Anything you put on a disk ( pictures, movies, spreadsheets, databases, whatever) is data. A disk is just a bunch of microscopic pits that the laser reads and converts to 1's and 0's which your computer then converts to pictures, movies, spreadsheets, databases, whatever. So... any disk is just a data disk.
