I have lost weight in that same range many times, but I think the fastest and 'easiest' way was with the Dr. Atkins diet, high protein and low carb.

1st, you need to make a more realistic goal. That's too much weight to lose healthily. You could probably reach 200 by then with a strict diet and exercise, but you'll stress yourself out too much and probably binge. Don't think of your self as on a diet where you "can't" have certain things. Watch what you eat, but if you find yourself really wanting something, eat a small amount of it. Just don't do that more than once a day, but try to only do it a few times a week. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Shoot for 100 ozs a day. If you can't drink that much, drink as much as you can.
I began dieting April 1st. I weighed 165, and I now weigh 139. I did this with 2 slimfast a day, giving up all sodas (even diet), and drinking only water. I cut out all fried foods, and after a while if I tried to eat a fast food burger or something fried, it was heavy and left a greasy feeling in my mouth. I did eat the occasional chocolate chip cookie (or 2!). Walking is a must. Good luck!

I am trying to lose the same amount of weight by the 1st of January, so I know where you are coming from. I am only watching what I eat, like no fried foods, no caffine, and lots of fruits and veggies and lots of water. My Dr has also prescribed me a weight loss pill called phentermine. I have been on this diet for almost a month and on phentermine for 2 weeks and have lost 8 lbs. I have lost more weight the last 2 weeks since I have been on phentermine. I am also doing a 45 min workout video, so that I don't have the flabby skin after I do lose the weight. I didn't have any side effects from the drug, but some people say they have. My friend started phentermine also and it made her really really drowsy, and she's alot heavier than I am.

Ok, begin your day by drinking 12 oz of water with half a lemon squeezed into it. Wait fifteen minutes and eat a bowl of oatmeal and some fresh fruit. For lunch eat a large salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Snack on fresh fruit, nuts, raisins, cranberries. For dinner have fresh steamed vegetables and 4 oz. of meat and brown rice. Try a variety of whole grain, rather than bleached, low nutritional valued foods.
Try to drink between 8 to10 8oz of water a day. Stay away from starchy food like white bread or bleached pasta. Eat mostly fruits, vegetables, nuts, dried fruits and lean meats.
Do some light exercising at first, to get your body used to it, then increase your impact and your time over the course of the month.

1. Well if you go keep on eating normally but stay away from fatty foods U'll be fine.
2. Your body needs carbohydrates and lipids (saturated and unsaterated fats) to have energy. So if you stay away from carbs for A WHILE your body will use the fats for energy.
3. Exercise with your friends like by playing sports.

Weight Watchers. My friend joined and has lost about 70lbs since March. If you only have to loose 40, then it should take about...3 months. Maybe you'll pass your goal by Christmas! Good luck

I wouldn't do it. When you lose that much weight you should go slower. because if you lose it to fast then your likely to gain it back
