I too suffer chronic pain and that alone can cause depression. The answer is yes--in fact most people who suffer CP are on Anti-D's but a doctor has to determine which drugs interact with each other well.

Actually--even after the doc orders any meds I check with the druggest as they often no more about how these meds mix than the Docs.

Some Anti-Ds are used in low dose to help with the pain and sleep.
The theory being that if the PT can get rest the pain will reduce and once that occurs the depression lifts.

Important information

You should not use oxycodone if you have severe asthma or breathing problems, or a blockage in your stomach or intestines.
Oxycodone can slow or stop your breathing, especially when you start using this medicine or whenever your dose is changed. Never take this medicine in larger amounts, or for longer than prescribed. Do not crush, break, or open an extended-release pill (Oxycontin). Swallow it whole to avoid exposure to a potentially fatal dose.
Oxycodone may be habit-forming, even at regular doses. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Never share the medicine with another person. MISUSE OF NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICATION CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant. Oxycodone may cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms in a newborn.
Do not drink alcohol. Dangerous side effects or death can occur when alcohol is combined with oxycodone.

I know that either of these painkillers can be used with Prozac and with Lexapro. Anything else, I'd check with the pharmacist. Those guys are as up-to-the-minute on drug interaction as any doctor...and, sometimes moreso!

I sure hope you find relief soon.

Check with your doc or a pharmacist about mixing pills. People who take A-D are a group who are more likely to commit suicide to begin with.

Yes you can. Just talk to your doctor or pharmacist first to make certain of things you need to be aware of.
