I have always had really thick hair until about 4 years ago I started losing it like crazy. Mine has been coming out for about 4 years but I haven't gone bald. It is thinner though. I went to Mayo Clinic and they called it telogen effluvium. I have had 3 open heart surgeries due to a congenital heart defect. So let me know if you find something that works. But you should:

1. Have some tests done to check your thyroid and zinc levels
2. Have hormones checked
2. Try taking Bioton (5000 mcg), Hydrolyzed Collagen, Gelatin, and Vitamin E.
3. Get enough protein in your diet

This is very common in men, it happens alot.

There is a product line called Nioxin that I hear works well. It is very expensive, but I know a guy who owns a beauty supply store who sells it wholesale. I can give you his phone # if you'd like. He sells it for 1/2 of what you'd pay in a salon.

I also hear that Rogaine works, but once you stop using the product you will loose the hair, it is a lifetime commitment.

I would try the Nioxin, I know of alot of people who swear by the Nioxin Line.

Good Luck!

Consider seeing a doctor just to make sure it isn't something that can be reversed.

Then, if it's nothing serious, go to a barber for advice on a good haircut keeping in mind the hair loss. And buy some Rogaine. I know people who've used it. From what I gather, Rogaine's reasonably good at stopping hair loss...and might grow some of it back.

you need to have a complete hormone workup as well as blood count and thyroid panel to rule out internal causes.Diet alone is not enough u need to take supplements.

1.) Seaweeds, help stimulate the thyroid and give minerals for the proper health of the hair

2.) Spinach is great for the hair, contains lots of minerals,as are all the green vegetables.

3.) Protein your hair is made of protein so make sure you are getting it in either animal or vegetable form such as fish,chicken,beef,legumes,nuts... and cheese.Or protein drinks.

4.) take a good b-vitamin supplement with biotin which increases hair growth.

5.)MSM contains naturally occuring sulfer and will make your hair and nails grow faster.

6.) silica

this combined with a good scalp massage with herbal hair oil will do wonders for your hair. Avoid brushing ur hair when its wet,and use a natural shampoo such as lamas chinese stimulating shampoo or Jason thin to thick.

use sunsilk anti caida or sunsilk anti-fall in english. this shampoo really helps with hair falling out, though i really dont recommend the conditioner because of the build up it causes. i mean, its like 2bucks and something at walmart, very inexpesnsive. u should try it because i only lost six hairs from 4 different shampoos and 3 different conditioners with the usual 24 hairs for each wash. i definitely recommend it.

Why not just let it happen? A lot of guys who have hair are shaving it off because that seems to be the style or it is easier to care for.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .
