How can you tell if he is controlling or not?

New boyfriend. Long distance relationship. See him a couple of times a month.

They say men can be sweet until you are living together...

Are there some key questions I can ask?

there is no way anyone would be totally honest about the Major things that you are wondering about. Right now you need to keep your eyes open to notice signs that he may be giving you when he is with you. Is he somewhat controlling? Is he aggressive? is he lazy? Just look for the signs because you won't really see the true him until after you move in together, please be careful and make sure that you took all the time you need to get to know this guy.

Pay very close attention to the way he reacts to any stories you tell involving guys. You'll have to do it in person, though, where it's easier to guage somebody's reaction. If he doesn't blink twice when you talk about hanging out with male friends, you'll probably be fine. If he starts asking a lot of questions about the guy and your relationship with him, or even hints that he thinks you might be cheating, you've got a warning sign on your hands. It's far worse if he overreacts to your stories about going out with the girls, meeting new people, or things like money.
Ask him about his previous relationships. If he seems to have bad experiences with his exes (particularly if he claims more than one cheated, or uses derogatory words about them), he may have generalized those bad experiences and now think all women are bad or untrustworthy.
Usually, if you're paying attention and have some idea about what red flags to watch out for, you should be able to tell pretty quick whether a guy is controlling or not.

no questions you can ask as he would not tell you the truth anyway. it is hard to tell if a person is controlling or not you may not een be able to tell untell untill its really to late. does he tell you what to do. if you pick out a place to go eat does he change youre mind, does he order your food for you? its really hard to tell if he is controlling as you have a realship that as of yet i can't even call it that. if you just see him a couple of times a month they i can't really call that a real realship. can you REALLY? as of matter of fact he is probally seeing other girls at his home. are you? bet not, bet he has you staying at home and waiting for his calls. if that is so then he is a little controlling. don't stay home and wait on him... go out with your friends and have a good time. because i can tell you that just seeing him a couple of times a month is NOT a realship.sak any girl or even ask any guy. hope this helpes you hope i didn't hurt you but what i did was to just tell you thr plain truth. good luck and get out and have a good time. if it is ment to be then it will happend.take care. and please listen to a little of what i told you. ask your girl friends and see what they say. get out and have a good time. and quit setting buy the phone and waitting for a call from him.

I'd want to know where you are at all times, who you are seeing, would tell you what to do when you are together.

You obviously suspect that he might be controlling, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question.

What makes you think he is controlling? You will know. Have you asked him if he considers you two monogamous? If you want to be exclusive, then that is the question to ask.
