I would say that being "anti"-social is reactive and therefore "bad",
but that being unsocial might indicate intelligence. Most people are either a waste of time or trouble. Only a few people are worth cultivating a realtionship with. One must be discerning.

What do you mean by anti-social? If a person is just feeling like being alone for awhile instead of wanting to be with people , then that is ok. It is perfectly normal to need time with out socializing. If you mean anti- social as a pyschological disorder, that is a bad thing. People who have that problem are usually quite dangerous and violent. These are the ones who end up in prison when they should be in a mental health facility receiving treatment.

Disliking society really means disliking yourself. Yes, it's a bad thing if you are hurting yourself or others. Not liking yourself = hurting yourself.
If you prefer seclusion, and feel good in doing so, all the power to you.

I don't think it's a bad thiing at all. I've read that having a wide circle of friends can help you live longer. Maybe that's true for most people, but I also think if you prefer being a hermit, then being around people can stress you and shorten your life!

You have to find your own balance between being around others and being with yourself. I'm very sociable and also very reclusive. I pick the times, people, and places I prefer to interact with, but I also enjoy my own company very much. I won't even answer my phone, unless there's a good reason to do so. But I hear you, people in general are a waste of time.

I'm a pretty strong introvert, and I really don't understand how people can stand to be around other people ALL THE TIME. Besides, society sucks. Individual people are ok.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, I am a somewhat asocial person myself, and I always have been, but I do think it is good if you have a few good friends you can turn to when in need.

You mean "asocial." "Anti-social" is definitely bad. Anti-social behavior includes arson, rape, robbery, acts of terrorism, murder, etc. "Asocial" simply means preferring to be alone, which is not bad or good. It just is.
asocial = NOT social
anti-social = AGAINST society

I think it's a bad thing if you're always anti-social, but if you just feel anti-social sometimes it doesn't matter

there's a difference between disliking crowds and being rude in public.
You can be a private person and still be respectful to the people you meet.
