Ha, Ha...No, I think it is very consistent with having no moral compass as an atheist....
It is very dangerous for a person to deceive himself into believing he is not accoutable to God.

Reality check for all.
Most superpowers and minor states and countries got this point NOT because of ideology or spiritual dogma. The sad truth is that all nations have taken and sacrificed many lives (combatants and innocents) in the process of becoming what they are now. Some of them have apologized and tried their best to rectify their mistakes. Others have not.
Examples of this:
United States:
Extermination of almost all Native American tribes duing their once bloody past.
Germany:
Gassing of 6 million Jews.
Bosnia-Herzegovina:
Genocide of Bosian Muslims by Serbs and Croats.
Spain and Portugal:
Bloody colonization of countries with the cross and the sword.
Cambodia:
Genocide committed by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge.
Japan:
Pearl Harbor and their reign of terror during World War 2.
The former Soviet Union:
Extermination or imprisonment of all actual and perceived "enemies if the state" under Yosef Stalin.
These countries didn't become great because of their ideology or dogma alone. They also backed up their ideology/dogma with lethal force.
Nuf sed.

Atheism is simply a disbelief in the existence of god(s). There have never been any wars or purges in the 'name of' atheisism as there have been in the 'name of' religion.
For the bonehead tho answered "I think it is very consistent with having no moral compass as an atheist."... well, chew on this for a little while, Gary. Christians make up about 75% of the US population and 75% of the US prison population. No big surprise there.
Atheists, on the other hand, make up about 10% of the US population... but they make up only 0.2% of the US prison population. Now, isn't THAT a surprise? That means that atheists are FIFTY (50) times LESS LIKELY to be incarcerated than Christians. Pretty strange, huh, for a group that has no god-given guiding moral principals?
I can think of only two possibilities that might reasonably be said to account for this discrepancy:
1. Atheists are of a higher ethical and moral caliber than Christians, and thus are less prone to do the same kinds of nasty things that land so many Christians in the slammer;
OR,
2. Atheists are, overall, a lot smarter than Christians and thus, they are less likely to get caught in the course of their transgressions.
It's GOT to be one or the other... take your pick.

"The main dogmatic teachings of communism, that we find were responsible for the atrocities committed under the various communist regimes, namely:-
1. The idea that individual property ownership is inherently evil (i.e. the evil bourgeoisie)
2. The belief that collectivization is the key to efficient production
3. The complete hatred of people who were opposed to the ideas of communism
had nothing to do with, and were not in any way derived from, atheism."

i'd like to work out the non bias stats that conclusively instruct the Mao killed "tens of millions" to cite "spoil faith". one way or the different, i imagine that make sure changed into pulled out of the deep darkish crevice you presently take a seat upon. faith, on the different hand, has a lengthy historic previous of verifiable tries at compelled conversions, holy wars, and systematic murders of tens of millions contained in the call of a particular faith. Edit "no longer one in each of you has been waiting to grant an efficient rebuttal." i'm nevertheless waiting for the irrefutable non bias evidence that Mao killed "tens of millions" to cite "spoil faith". look, I admit that once communism got here to China there turned right into a particular aspect of disdain hostile to faith. yet, the position is your evidence that "tens of millions" were killed to "spoil faith"?. There would were tens of millions killed to get rid of political competition, boost territorial administration, implement the turning out to be state of the Peoples Republic, and annex various surrounding areas. yet none of this changed into specially and easily to "spoil faith". in reality, that changed into no longer even a minor purpose. no longer to instruct, a significant one. it ought to have performed an element in attitudes being taken hostile to non secular human beings. yet, it changed into no longer the mandatory topic in any way. So how can we rebut organic nonsense? you would to boot start up claiming that the Soviet Union got here into power through mass murdering each man or woman of each faith that fell lower than it really is administration. which may also be an finished fabrication. it somewhat is all you've. So, I submit that it really is you who're "unhappy".

Your logic is so flawed .... Where should I begin????
How about here:
1. MAO didn't kill people in the name of "Atheism". He killed them because he was a power hungry maniac. Unlike christianity for example who's bible commands people to kill in the name of god. Don't believe me? Watch this video:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vkXOwBIRX7Y
2. It would be impossible to calculate the number of people who have been killed in the name of religion/god. You see, people have been following religions and killing people in the name of reiligion/god for at least 8,000 years. We are talking about MILLIONS and MILLIONS of people over THOUSANDS OF YEARS.
3. Want to know what the bible says to do with a town that doesn't believe in GOD?
Deut. 13:13
...you must attack that town and DESTROY all it's inhabitants, as well as all the livestock.

That's something most atheists would want to have ignored. It is true though that it is a direct result of his religion of atheism (believing he his his own god), and that no one else matters
