A shell is maily made out of calcium and the vingear is very acidic and eats away the shell.

I reckon the shell dissolves in vinegar. Don't think it has anything to do with cells.

it dosent realte to the cell and the vinegar dissolves it because the shell is compostable.
this is a new theory scientists are studying.

i think the acid eats away the shell.
