He's been hitting on me smiling and touching my butt saying naughty things in my ears and saying how he'll promote if I stayed 1 night with him. Now I really dont want to do it but I really need the money to support my son. Am I being a good mother if I slept with him for the promotion which would pay me more?

Here's an even better idea. Start recording any time and every time he puts the moves on you in a diary. Always include date and time and specifics of what he says and does. Then get yourself a lawyer and sue the company for sexual harassment. That should get you plenty of money to support you and your son and will leave your self-respect intact.

You're kidding, right?
Hitting on you and touching you is sexual harassment and you can take him to court (make sure you document it and have witnesses willing to testify)!
There is absolutely NO guarantee that this scumbag will give you anything more than a one night stand (much less a promotion).
Sleeping with someone for money is called prostitution. If that's what you want to do, then call it what it is. How would you feel if your son knew what you did?
Is this the only decent paying job in your area? There ARE places to work that don't operate like this one!
I hope you can find a better job and are able to leave this otherwise crummy situation.

Have you ever heard of sexual harrassment? That is exactly what this guy is doing to you. Have more respect for yourself and DO NOT sleep with your scuzzy boss. There are lots of single moms out there who don't resort to sleeping with someone to make some extra money. Trust me and take the high road on this one, be the better person and don't do it. Something better will come your way. If not you'll coined as the office s*l*u*t, that is something that no woman wants. DON'T DO IT!!!!

i highly discourage it... i mean you still have to work with the man and i f you give in to his advances your only encouraging his behavior, i mean your work should be a place of buissnes and you should be promoted based on you performance in the work place not in bed. Plus dont you think it would be kind of hard to stay at that company if your co-workers found out what you did to get the promotion? then your forced to quit or your fired your boss got what he wanted and your with out a job and feeling used. not the right choice... just work hard for what you want like the rest of us

No you aren't being a good mom if you do that. If you need extra money there are other ways of getting it. As for your boss, there is this thing called sexual harrassment. You might look into it.

I understand needing more money to support your little ones, but no, don't part with that part of your dignity. Some people say once you've done one thing to lose integrity, you don't have it anymore, but you can too reclaim it. Don't do anything with this boss.

Look into doing something about his advances.... It's illegal.

Record him on a dictophone saying that, then play it to HIS boss. Viola! He loses his job, you get promoted without having to compromise yourself.

I don't think you should sleep with him, he sounds like scum.

You realize that you could sue him, and get a massive settlement. This is sexual harrasment. Before you do something you'll regret, I'd talk to a lawyer.

Simply tell your boss that's not how you would like to get promoted and you feel offended by his remarks. To please keep this on a professional basic. That your flattered but no thanks.
