Fill it up once (that's 1/2 Cup)
Fill it up half way (that's 1/4 Cup)

1st. Do your 1/2 cup, then 2nd. measure 1/4 cup together they equal 3/4 cup.
Invest in a set of measuring cups, makes cooking so much easier to have the right tools in your kitchen.
