My city is attempting to establish a committee (of volunteers) to review complaints and/or compliments, by citizens, of discrimination in providing police services. Are these boards effective? What powers or authority does it (the board) need to have in order to fulfill it's mission?

PAC-TAC Volunteer -get some exercise and help your community at the same time!

Supervised by a Crime Prevention Officer you will patrol streets on foot with another volunteer, never alone. Your observations and reports are essential to both preventing crime and solving those which have already occurred. You are a liaison between the Rochester Police Department and your community by providing a presence and visibility of concerned citizens on the public streets and area. For an application, go to our website, Click on Join Us, then Volunteer. At the end is a downloadable application. Good verbal, written skills, diplomatic. Orientation teaches conflict management and how to use a Police Radio.
