You should add a little salt and vinegar to cut down on the sugar, then make adjustments according to your taste preferences. Also, if you ever find that a dish is too salty, place a peeled potato in the liquid, which will draw out the extra salt.

Ug, there's nothing worse that sweet spahgetti sauce! Try adding more tomato paste, garlic and oil. That should balance out the sugar. Hope your dinner is a success - God bless!

I know it sounds crazy....but you might want to try some dry instant coffee. If its a large pot start with 1/2 teaspoon and taste before you add more
