A stimulant is anything that stimulates the Central Nervous System. Caffeine and sugar are two almost every one uses. Some that have to be prescribed are Cylert, Provigil, Dopram, Dexedrine, Adapex, Focalin. These drugs are all listed in the Nursing Drug Handbook under CNS stimulants.
