Well maybe wait and see what Vista will be like for yourself. Also not being the first one to experience all the possible new bugs can be nice. I think I am going to wait tell I see it first, but I probably Will upgrade a little while after its out. I think I will let some people upgrade first and read about it, then go for it.

Windows Vista is great but it needs a highly fast computer. U can try it but before you do this, make sure u back up yur files by saving them in a USB Stick or CD. Also back up yur drivers! Some programs u use normally may not work on Vista since it was built for avaliable Operationg systems at the time eg XP, 2000, ME, 98. Yur drivers may face this similar problem. If Vista works for you, u can stay with it but if not, go back to XP Pro.

Vista - No final version avalible yet, it's still being tested. I've heard a few good things and plenty of bad things about it.

M$ has a habbit of releasing half finished OSes and then fixing them for a year or two before they are actualy stable and reliable.

Stick with XP for now. Switch to Vista alteast 1 year after its offical release.

I say Vista all the way. There are soo many upgrades, and it will process more like a mac, better protection, up-to-date programs like Direct X 10, WMM 3, etc etc. Other than some getting used to mac styled its the best thing on the market.

Well consider this fact that Windows Vista officially is not out yet, unless you want to install Vista Beta(which has an expression time of 15 days)

personally, I prefer Win XP Pro, it gives you more selections for word processing and other stuff. As for Win Vista, I would wait a while till they get some of the kinks worked out.
