one of my friends his mom left him, his dad, and his brother about 6 years ago.. went off to austrailia for some guy she met on the internet...well january 23, 2006 there dad died....mom never called, never sent them letters never contacted them....well some how other family got ahold of her after there dad died and she flew back instantly....like within a 4 days.....when she came back all she cared about was how much the ss checks what was gonna happen when they sold everything... she didn't even console them, or nothing...She stayed in a hotel, in the same town, didn't even want them to go with her....but she was wanting them to go back with her to austrailia so bad...well the dumbass kid went....he lost 33 grand in scholar ship money...he was a all A student.. could have had it made.... do u feel pitty for him..why?

It sounds to me like he did it in hopes that he can regain a relationship with his mother. Everyone wants their family to love them.
