I lost 10 lbs once in about 6 weeks. I was on Weight Watchers at the time, which is a very good service & a very good way to lose weight. It varied every week that I weighed how much I had lost & every once in a while I had gained .5 lb back. It takes time & you have to actually eat better & exercise for it to work. You could probably lose a little more faster with more exercise & a slightly stricter diet. Just remember, losing it really quick isn't key, because you're more likely to gain it all back & some more, easily. Losing no more than 3 lbs a week is probably ideal. I also suggest a Walk Away the lbs workout video from Leslie Sansone, it's fun, easy, & works. Good luck!

Try cutting your calorie intake and exercising. It is the only safe thing that works.
