If your kitten is less than 6 weeks old I would suggest you take her back to her mom until 6 weeks is up. She is not really ready to be weaned. If she is 6 weeks old then she is just feeling insecure. If you can put her in your arms and stroke her and love her for a little while she would probably enjoy being comforted. Give her a place with cat toys and a bed that she knows is all her own with her litter box. Put her in there with food and water, after a while she will settle down. Check on her often, and cuddle with her often.

I think she is hungry!!!! You don't say how old she is and I will assume that she is weaned from her mother and eating some kind of cat food.

The kitten needs MEAT protein, not dry food which is mostly corn. Get a quality canned food such as Natural Balance or Wellness. She does not need "kitten" food if the quality of the food is top-notch.

Mother cats wean their kittens to meat - a mouse is about 65% meat and bone. They do not feed their kittens CORN. The kitten can become used to dry food later and it can be around for "snacking" and exploring.

If you do this she will stop crying. Of course baby her, cuddle her and all that good stuff but give her meat to satisfy her poor hurting tummy.

Make sure she has had enough to eat and drink (only water cos milk can cause upset tummies). She will need to be fed 2-3 times a day, depending on how often they fed her where u got her from.
Her bed should be away from the noisey area of your house (in a separate room where the door can be closed) and perhaps she needs an igloo bed - one where she can climb into and it surrounds her. Use one of your jumpers in the bed as well, so that she can smell your scent.
Put a soft fluffy toy in her bed with her as well so she has something to cuddle up to. We do this at the animal shelter with the little kittens. It really helps them and every kitten has its own teddy.

Too many people separate kittens from their mom too soon, and I hope this is not the case. Just hold the kitten and comfort him. It's away from it's mom, and probably scared amoung other things. It will stop eventually, and if it doesn't you should call a vet.

Take your thumbs, and rub them across her face, towards her neck and the top of her head, kinda like from her nose on, stroking with a little bit of pressure. Go with her fur. This is kinda like momma cat licking her, and it's a soothing action. This worked wonders for my baby kitty! Remember, a little pressure is okay, just not too hard

Just baby her a lot and put an alarm clock (that won't go off) beside her. It also helps if she has another kitty companion, but depending on your state, that may not be possible.

She probably wants to be held. Hold her close to your heart so she can hear it beat that usually calms them down. You might also want to try and play and see if it might be hungry. It's looking for it's mommy and you have to one to the kitty till it gets older.

She's probably scared and lonely. Hold her till she falls asleep, talking to her softly, and stroking her hair. She'll be much calmer when she awakens, but you'll probably need to do this many times till she knows you're she new "parent".
