Find a Breeding Farm or Stable close to you & ask about becoming an apprentice. You will be cleaning stalls & tack & learning the ins & outs of the business. You will need your parents permission if the foreman or ranch manager says yes & your parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver stating that they will be responsible for any of your injuries (in case it happens). Start by putting the word out that you are interested in learning the trade at your local feed store, vet office, farrier, even ask at the truck stop. Someone might want to train you their way so that you'll be a good investment in their business! Always ask any riders that you come in contact with if they need a helper. They are usually tired from riding all day & could use a hand around the barn. Good Luck.

Locate a Pony Club or 4-H club and get involved. You can share horses at most shows and see if it's for you. Then look into leasing a horse. Also look into schools in your area with high school equestrian team and Middle scool equestrian team which is new. You can start one as a club if they won't count it as a sport.

Find out if you have a pony club in your area. They are a great place to start. They do shows and teach you all about horses and stuff. It is a very good place to get started.
As for racing there are several jockey schools one in Kentucky and one in Alberta Canada. They are very good but you must be a high school graduate to enroll in them. They arelike a college for jockeys.

First hire horse grew to become into while i grew to become into 9, first owned horse while i grew to become into 11. mum and dad nope, my mum and dad pay for the purposes like fairrer vet board tack common grooming materials yet i purchase something i choose it incredibly is extra. a very 'older' horse between 10-20 (yep the 20 twelve months previous's can nonetheless have some years on them, i does no longer pass older whether). No particular breed as long as that's calm and experienced. purely becuase you have ridden a eco-friendly horse in instructions does no longer propose your waiting to handle one on your guy or woman; that is alot distinctive being available on my own and not having an instructor suitable by making use of your side if something is going incorrect. my mom lived on a farm for some years and had a horse in spite of the indisputable fact that purely rode for some years, on no account took instructions, and did no longer get decrease back into horses till she grew to become into in her mid Nineteen Forties while she permit me initiate driving instructions. My dad i think of had sat on a horse like two times, grew up interior the city, and offered me a horse by way of fact the pony grew to become into especially.....no longer a horse person. do no longer pass with the 1st horse you spot or a horse becuase you think of the pony is "especially" that's an twist of destiny waiting to ensue. additionally once you're finding at horses and your no longer a hundred% particular of your driving point take it down a step. to illustrate in case you suspect you're intermediate seek for horses that are newbie risk-free, or stepped forward newbie risk-free. in case you get a horse it incredibly is purely too lots so you might handle your unlikely to have exciting.
