I'm a 98G AD. In short, an Arabic linguist. I was sent to train for my language in beautiful Monterey, CA (people pay thousands of dollars to visit for a weekend and I was paid to live there for 2 years). I am able to learn MANY different jobs while in garrison because I can't do my job in the states, but I know I'm important when I deploy. Plus, when I do choose to leave the service, some jobs are paying close to $250,000 starting out for anyone with decent Arabic skills. I enjoy my job, but it's not for everyone and I realize that. But I think it's the best because it's mine.

It depends of what you like and of what is in your heart.
But choose a job that would make you employed when your contract end or in case you dont feel like working in the army anymore.
Human Intelligence Collector will have great salary after army, MP paralegal too and a lot more.

am not sure what this job you have already, but best advice i would have is look for a job that gives you qualifications on the outside world..............husband is a sonar tech and trust me there are NOT many jobs for a sub hunter in the real world lol lol so when our son joined this was HIS man concern when picking his job.........maybe you could go back and look at the web sites for mil training / recruiting where they are getting better at showing what each job can lead to in civvy life.
Good luck and thanks for already being one of the few and brave

Sounds like you already got one of the few jobs
that will get you a civilian job, what do you want?
Infantry, armor, commo, hell most of them don't have a career path outside of the Army.
