You could have strained a few back muscles. There are many, many muscles in the back, and they work together to make a diffiucult job easy.
Find a chiropractor that offers massage therapy as part of the pain managment program. The massage therapist would work on your back at the instruction of the doctor, and warm you up before the doc cracks you. Chiropractors are great, if you find one that listens to you. Massage is a great way to go, but it's not adviseable to get massaged within 3 days of an injury. If the pain sprouted without an actual injury (falling, for example), then you could see a massage therapist without the doc. MTs use hot and cold therapy in addition to muscle work.

Was a CNA for 15 years, you have a very hard job. Ibuprofen, works wonders and its the least expensive. Let hot water run on your back, DAYS OFF when any. Relax, everything and anything can be done later.

No drugs.
There is a physical therapy exercise called tthe "press up" or the "seal stretch" This is like a push up but you leave your hips on the floor. Doing ten reps three or four times a day can work wonders.

Lay on the floor, grab under both knees with your arms folded, rock back and forth.

Lay on your stomach in bed with a pillow under the area that is nearest to the backpain. So that if the back pain is in the middle, put the pillow under your ribs.

Be very attentive to this situation. You don't want to hurt yourself. Some guys go to chiropractors for back pain, but I would recommend acupuncture too. My guess is you have strained yourself and need a better back brace. Plz be good to yourself. We need all the good looking guys to be as healthy as possible!

i have lower back problems and i go to the chiropracter. it helps alot. they specialize in the back area and can re-line it. They can also give you excersises that will help. also when your back is in really bad pain put a cold compress on it to help relax the tension in the back. cause you dont just want to keep taking medicine to cover up the pain, its your body telling you something is wrong.
*hope it improves soon :)
