Turkey is a Muslim country. But also Christian and Jewish people live in Turkey.

I think, if you want to be relaxed, so you should choose Istanbul. If you want to get some adventure, again you should choose Istanbul.

In my opinion Istanbul is the most exciting and fascinating city all over the world. Maybe I think so because I have been living here for all my life!

Ankara is known as a city of students and officials. There are many universities (same as Istanbul) and also The Parliamentary is in Ankara. although Ankara is the capital of Turkey, it is an ordinary city. Not a place for a young person or a person who want to feel alive.

On the other hand Istanbul is a city of chaos. You should be able to live always in a traffic jam and among good&bad, east&west, rich&poor and history&everyday. When you don't like such dilemmas, so you can't get used living in Istanbul....

Istanbul is more expensive than Ankara. but you can quickly find places where you can shop cheaply. there are many alternatives for every level of richness..

Yes, Turkey is a Muslim country but also there r so many Christians and Jewish people live in Turkey in a friendship. I have to add that Turkey is the only moderate Muslim country, for example; u can eat or drink in Ramadan in Turkey but in other Muslim countries generaly its forbidden.

Istanbul is the most historical city in the world, lots of beautiful and natural places to visit, bosphorus view, nite-life,... but so crowded and it has security and traffic problems.

Ankara is the capitol of Turkey, a boring govn and officer city, not much places to visit, but tidier than Istanbul.

In both you can buy all your needs cheaper than European countries.

For the summary: Istanbul is to visit on the weekends, Ankara is to live.

If u give me a chance for choosing another city for a relaxing place in Turkey: Izmir is the best to live, its a city of Europe.

Good luck...

The majority of Turks are Muslim, although the country itself is secular.

Istanbul is the cultural center of the country. Ankara revolves around the government.

It's cheap compared to Western Europe, sure, but prices are skyrocketing in Istanbul due to an influx of moneyed expats, especially in neighborhoods like Cihangir.

Yeah majority is Muslim but as far as i know im not.. If you have a good income and want to live a good life then i must say ENJOY ISTANBUL the fullest. But if you don't have the money to then gosh it might turn out to be a torture ...

Istanbul ain't a cheap place don't forget that but its worth every penny .

Refering to the part where you wrote "The people are goodlooking" then i must say it depends on where abouts you r going to. Btw donno about the looks but one thing is for sure Turkish people are very moderate and benevolent.

that's an earthly usa, however the final public of the folk in Turkey are Muslim. Islam is the dominate faith there, and Christianity is the 2nd greatest faith there, then accompanied by making use of Jews.

I have heard things can be expensive

Some turkish men in my opinion are the most handsomest I have seen.
