You need to go to your local dmv to take care of it. They may also ask you for proof of address so take either an electric/phone/cable bill with you.

Go to the DMV and tell them that you would like to change your address. In Alabama its good to update your lic. That way it matches your checks and in case of accident or something else happening. If a persons lic. is soon to expire but, not up to renew just yet I let them know that its there choice to update or they can wait just notify Montgomery (state capital and main location for everything). Some ppl. have to change b/c of school (for there children). Just contact your DMV (or go to it) and talk to a driver lic. clerk. They will help u out.

If you did not move out of the state do a search online, you can change it online and they will mail you a sticker or update their systems. Just search for change of address for your state. Sometimes when you move the post office provides you with the information when you put in for the change of address.

Most of the time you just need a current utility bill at the new address with your name on it and Secretary of State can change for you.

Go to your nearest DMV and speak to the person in front.
She'll give you a application and take it from there. Return it
to her, she probably just give you a small card to show every-
one you moved. Unless you say you lost your drivers license,
so they can issue another one. Everywhere is different. I live
in Fresno, CA and that's what they would do.
