why would a man do this?

plz dont tell me women do it too cuz thats not what im about to be applying too. so why do men pursue women then go out of their way to lie cheat and be cold hearted? its not like they are going to hit the lottery for doing so. its not like it will be broadcasted on the news for an award. its also not like it will make them any bigger than what they already think they are. what do they really get out of this self destucting behavior. havent they realized that it is hurting people and messing with peoples lives. also how can they ruin someones life and sleep like a baby at night. plz dont tell me cuz women let them cuz if you think about it there are some major mind manipulators out there. so what is it that they get from this?

They get revenge. Because they've been hurt before, and are still hurting, they need to avenge their pain on another person. Usually a woman is the likely victim.
They get pleasure. It's a sick morbid deliberate pleasure from hurting others and ruining peoples lives because they are heartless, mindless, soulless self-loathing sadists who derive this pleasure from the suffering of others. They pursue women like a hunter pursues a wild animal. To stalk it, hunt it, kill it then leave it to rot. In the end, they've gained nothing. Their prize is the dehumanizing control of others (and sometimes you'll hear about it on the news). They want to destroy themselves and in the process take everyone down with them. Herein lies the nature of terrorism. But that's another story.
Incidentally, a man will not act like this. A real man won't do this. Look behind the mask of this sort of monster and you will see a scared, angry, sniveling, spiteful pitiful little boy in a mans body who does these horrible things.

These people you describe hurt people the most because they can't face the consequences of their actions. Some of it is that is how they have survived for all the years that they've live through so far. As far as those whom they are hurting or have hurt, whether it's drugs, alcohol, extramaritarial affair there is another issue there that person has to resolve and can't
He/She needs to be encouraged to join alcoholics anonomous. There is also support groups for those who are family of the alcoholic and there is help there too. It helps to make sense from the nonsense our lives have been so long. There is help to be found there. It is at least a help, maybe a person might know the right agency to contact to get the person or family helpthey need, Get a few years of solid counselin and then you will be able to see the REDFLAGS these kinds of guys are throwing aroound all the time. Then avoid them and someday mr.right will come along and sweep you off your feet.

LOL. Well seems like you already know what you don't want to hear. But truth is it has to do with their nature. Not every man is like that, so I hope you don't put this into the stereotypical man. However...They could be in love,,,and still actually go through with these (::emotional tantrums they have::) Wanna know why? Because first of all they want to prove to themselves that they're still in check...((with themselves; the can be very vain and still snuggle)) They want to show that they aren't under nobody's control. They have the necessity to show superiority...sub or conciously. And yes, they do sleep like babies. Men and women both make bad choices in relationships because they do have the functional skills for choosing good people. Women are too easy and act like cheap whores. Men play on that weakness for their wekness which is sex! The solution? Develop good relationship skills by reading books, going to a counselor, if nesessary and have personal boundaries.

well all i could say is those kind of men are actually insecure and are afraid to be alone. Sometimes when insecurities starts to engulf a man he does things that will hurt the people he cares about even if he does'nt know it. For him its all ego and pride. His defense mechanism is to show that he is tougher and will not get hurt with what his doing while the woman feel the emotional pain and he thinks she will just go his way so she will not get hurt. Sadly this action by men does the opposite to women.

I'm refering to guys who really love their women deep inside and are just to insecure to show because of society norms and are emotionally problematic not those scam bags and losers who think they are same kind of "Adonis" and are God sent for women.

In many cases it's because they have bad character. Not all men do this. But sometimes society leads people to believe that men are almost expected to do this. They make excuses for them when there is none. Yes, women do this too but when they do they are branded as names I can't type here. Double standard.

unfortunatly for you it sounds like you have only managed to have dealings with the players of this world. And there are a lot of them out there. BUt that doesnt mean to say that there are not some really decent guys out there as well. You just have to separate the bad ones from the good and hopefully you will find one worth bothering with. I know I got me one! The men that are behaving like this are not worth bothering with, but dont let them leave you feeling like they are all like this as it isnt the case. I hope you find yourself a good one. Think of it as searching through a barrel of rotten apples to find the couple of good ones.

I'm not sure they get anything out of it. I think it all depends on the man and the relationship. Without more information on the relationship, I really don't know.
