I never thought of counting them, but now that you mention it, I'm sure I'll think about it in the future. But why would one need to know? I assume just natural curiosity. Now you've got me curious, too. My guess: 2,000.

I actually did this once...about 20yrs ago...i put a little mark down for every ten licks. your answer is 2,000 licks.
