See, it's kinda like a scavenger hunt when you're not really hunting for scavengers. You're supposed to dress up looking like a mushroom and go deer hunting. (Some hair do's I've seen- not much else needed!) Cause, you see- deers like to get high too. You'll be the biggest mushroom they've ever seen! So they'll come right to you. If you're really still. And smell like dirt and cranberries.

Straight from the shoulder. In Oregon it is big time business. We have a lot of folk which one might describe as being counter cultural. They make a lot of their money harvesting wild mushrooms. In fact people die every year in gun fights over mushroom territory. Many a fun guy has had the shitake kicked out of him for being in the wrong place.
