My daughter had them and we had the same problem that you are having. I tried everything but nothing i did was any good. I had to sit down and go throught her hair very small sections at a time and pick them out by hand. None of the combs i tried worked, and I tried all of the ones that were available at the time. Another thing that you need to do is if your daughter plays with stuffed animals you need to put them in a plastic bag and seal it and leave them there for about 2 weeks this will kill any nits or bugs that have hatched. They live on blood and if they don't have a food source they will die. I never heard of the olive oil but it does sound like a good idea also. Good luck I know these things are a pain in the a**

You have to wash her hair again with the kit of your choosing. In these kits, there should be a comb with very small teeth. Use that comb, not a regular comb, to comb her hair with.

My daughter also was sent home with these things last year. They were gone in one treatment, but we waited about two days and treated her again, just to make sure. There is no telling where those little pests came from or who she was around when she got them.

You need to also check and make sure you don't have them in her clothing, bedding and toys. I am telling you, unchecked these things will be a huge problem for you.

By the way, you can buy the kits at any drug store. Just ask the pharmacist if you need help.

READ THIS PART VERY CAREFULLY:

When you wash her clothes, bed clothes, pillows and the like, add about a table spoon of bleach to your laundry detergent.
This WILL NOT ruin or damage any of your clothes or fade the colors.

There is no stronger disinfectant than bleach. The bleach will eliminate the unseen eggs.

I actually had this problem. Go and wash her hair in olive oil and after let it sit for about a hour make sure she sits somewhere that you can wash. Next wash out all of the oil and then go to the store they have a special comb for these things with tiny tiny teeth and brush brush brush. Make sure you clean clean everything. If not they will come right back. Good Luck.

So my little girl had them when she had long hair and they were horrible since her hair is thick 2. I found this stuff called NEON nits which was a godsend. You spray on her hair and it actual makes the nits glow a flourescent pink. It makes it super easy to at least see them all and you just have to keep working her head over and over again. We felt so bad we bought my daughter a new Barbie for her ordeal. We cried, she cried--it was awful.
