I have been washing clothes all day, with no problems. I smelled something and i went into the laundry room and my washing machine had smoke coming out of it. I bought it brand new, 2 years ago, what could it be and what can i do, to fix it? I would ask the hubby, but he's visiting his mother and i don't want to call over there and ruin their visit, thanks.

I'd ck the belt, this happened to me and the belt was slipping and filled the room with smoke. I changed the belt myself and problem solved. good luck

Sounds like the motor burned out- probably cheaper to buy a new one than to get it fixed.
