Nothing as long as you're careful with it. I have done this myself and have met men that are great, made lots of friends but have run into more than my share of off the wall people. Don't be quick to fall for someone just because what you read sounds good. Pay close attention to details and remember them, usually a liar will slip up at some point and forget what he told you. My rule was always for meeting someone for the first time, they had to come to my city and meet in a public place. I felt much safer on my own turf. If anything, and I do mean ANYTHING, doesn't feel right, turn and run the other way. Go into it with your eyes wide open, plenty of common sense and safety foremost in your mind and you'll meet alot of very interesting and fun people.

Nothing... I think it is so cool when people meet on line and fall in love meet and make a life together and just making friends and meeting is cool also..

you couldn't trust anyone. anyone can pretend to be someone they're not. they can be sexual predators. people lies all the time online. so online dating is heavily risky.
