The Bible says the greatest virtue is love, or charity, meaning love in the original language. Jesus said "All the law and prophets rest on these, that you love God with all your heart and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." Pretty simple isn't it? But so hard for many people to practice!

Yes - assuming that the bible was written by God himself/or by Christ himself.
Unfortunately the truth is that the bible was written 500 years after Christ by some priests ( a Council) who discussed as to how they could bring some discipline and order in the lives of belevers who had no code of conduct and did whatever they wanted and disgraced Christianity in the eyes of others.

Hmm...one of the most overriding human tendencies is to doubt. Is the Bible telling us not to be human?
No. It's telling us that trust in God allows us to transcend ourselves and out mediocre human condition. Trust has to be the greatest virtue, at least as I see it.
