indeed
it does sound obsessive/compulsive
supposedly we are to be self less like God
yet to avoid hell we think of our self and save our butt
creating a flock of sheep to bleat out worship like broken robots for eternity sounds like Shrek's Lord Farquad loyal citizens
him....shmim
see here in black and white the Prophets of Israel served a male and female god equally... Ba'al lost to Jehovah but Asherah continued but was later cut out of Kabalah and we have edited version of Bible now

It is totally self centered and the sign of a insecure supreme being. He/she/it is like this because even though god wanted perfection all around him he was unable to create it. I mean if god is perfect and this is his ultimate goal wouldn't god have been able to create it in the first place. It is obvious to me that god made a mistake during creation and has spent all this time trying to fix it and not succeeding. God is very insecure and true believers know this. That is why they get so bent out of shape when you point out gods faults and inconsistencies.

You would think a Perfect Being would have made it Perfect, without fail, to begin with, huh?
It's very self-centered. That's like having kids in order to have slaves.

God, as represented by Christian, is shown to feel that way but it is a myth. God made all of us just the way He wants and we are all perfect in His eyes if we are doing what He sent us to earth to do. That even includes the people we consider evil or bad.
Even Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer had their missions and fulfilled them. I know that sounds strange but their actions affected so many people in a positive way, that they had to do what they did.
Whether humans believe that or not. God uses our experiences for a use that we may not understand, but He always accepts you just exactly as you are.
Reincarnation is where the differences come back to face other experiences.
He doesn't expect you to be perfect, merely human.

No it is not . God the Creator made our souls from its own body. therefore he wants the acknowgement that we are a part of him and he is a part of us. even the imperfect souls will be returned onto him as prodigal sons or daughters.
Perfection is a church derived idea. it is a goal that is seldom met and if achieved seldom lasts.

He doesn't want perfection. He loves us despite our imperfection. Otherwise, he would have just wiped us all out in the beginning, when man chose to not obey.

Well, there's no one as important as He is there? He's not self centered, He's God.
