yes you can give aspirin to dogs they do not interfere with antbiotics, cats can not handle aspirin and dogs can not handle tylenol, horses and cattle can get aspirin also...just be careful not to give it on a steady basis as it can cause ulcers in dogs, and there are some other drugs that it does interfere with....why is the dog needing aspirin? and what is it on antibiotics for?.....as for dog lover, i did not say they interfered with the antibiotics, i said it can interfere with OTHER drugs, and i was just curious to know why the dogs needed asprin and antibiotics....

Here are the facts: Buffered Aspirin (Bufferin®, Ascriptin ®) – puppies can take 5-12.5 mg/lb each 12 hours for anguish, irritation and fever. I customarily propose one standard-strength pill (325 mg) for a 50-60 lb. Dog. It may accept to cats, but at a so much scale back and less regular dosage interval, so it's quality just to keep away from aspirin in a cat until prescribed with the aid of your vet. Part effects include stomach upset (be aware that ‘Buffered’ is underlined) and diminished blood clotting. I have a thirteen y/o dog that has arthritis and buffered aspirin is what i use (Vet endorsed) to aid her get by means of the days when the agony flares up. I comply with the above recounted dosing agenda.

Questions like this are better asked of your vet. Everyone on here is going to give you a different answer because they are just giving you an opinion most of the time. I personally know the answer but if I were you I wouldn't listen to anyone here for an answer that could affect my dogs health. Not without checking with a real professional first. And you should consult your vet before giving your dog any medicine anyway. Especially if the dog is on something else. Good luck.

Asprin can safely be given to dogs.
The doseage is as follows.
A regular 325mg asprin tablet
use 1/4 of a tablet per 10 pounds of body weight.
A 40 pound dog could take one tablet.
I always start my 70 pound dogs on one tbalet and go up from that is they still seem to be in pain.
They can be given with antibiotics.

I would not give my dog any aspirin without consulting with your vet first.
I know for sure dogs should NEVER be given TYLENOL.

It is fine for dogs as long as you get Buffered Asprin. The dosage is 5 mgs per pound, every 12 hours. It also works well as an anti-inflamatory.

Anti-biotics are ok, but if you are breeding dogs, don't give anti-diotics to a female who has been bred. It cause them to loose their litter. Don't know about asprin.
