I think this is true, but in a manner it is a stereotype. See low income family girls tend to hate themselves and do not feel loved. They will do anything to feel loved so they are willing to find a guy to "LOVE THEM" and 9 months later they have a baby. Also girls from low income backgrounds want to feel loved like I said before and the find this love in a child, so many of them want a baby.

That's true and false. Do your surroundings affect your behaviour? Yes because when you are around your friends at the mall then you can be yourself and say and do stuff that you wouldn't do at a family reunion infront of grandma.... however, you also have the choice. I mean you can either let the circumstances get to you and become a statistic, or you rise above all that b.s. and show them that it's not true. You could not care what grandma says or thinks and go to her and cuss infront of her... it depends on the person. I'm not the richest person in the world but i'm not pregnant, nor do i want to become pregnant just to have somebody to love. I was raised better than that and i have more self respect than that. It all depends on circumstance and the person or people involved.

I have never heard that before but I guess I came from a somewhat poor family and I am 24 and have 3 kids, But I don't see how money would have factored into the situation I know a girl who's family is rich and she has had 3 abortions(which is totally screwed up you would think she would have learned something after the first one) maybe thats why, they just use money to fix their problems. Like someone stated that girls from low income familys want to feel loved I tottaly disagree with that I don't think that money has to do with how you are raised is has to do with how responsible and loving your parents are.

It really depends on how knowledgeable the girl is about sex, her own biology, and religous background. Does she know about safe sex? Does she know that certain times during her cycle she is more likely to get pregnant? Does her religion allow her to practice safe sex outside of abstanence?
Usually poor families do not educate their children on the first two subjects. Schools are don't really want touch the subject because religious kooks like to sue. Religion doesn't want to touch the subject other than to stay nuetral and preach from a printed piece of paper.
So just because a girl is poor does not predispose her to a early pregnacy but ignorance will. Unfortunately the only people in the community that will play it straight with kids on the subject of sex ED are the medical personale, such as doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. SO KIDS THE BEST PERSON TO HELP YOU FIND ANSWERS TO SEX FROM A SCIENCE PERSPECTIVE IS YOUR LOCAL PHARMACIST!

It is true cause poor girls see thing in a different way.. Rich girls think there shxt don't stink and the are conceited and don't want to ruin there lives by getting pregnant.. As for poor girls they want to move on move out and get a family of there own...

I think that its true. B/c girls who come from poor families are most likely to have both parents that work (assuming they arent raised in single parent homes.) With both parents working full time they dont have enough time to raise children who are full of self-confidence and without that they look for other means to make theirselves fullfilled. Which alot of times means having a sexual relationship with a man which results in a child. Im sure there is lots of people who dont but alot who do

i agree with jowolf. they probably cant afford birth control. it is also a sad truth that the children of those families are less educated and are less likely to know about birth control options.
